PodCamp Toronto is proud to announce Tungle.Me as one of our silver sponsors for PodCamp Toronto 2010. Tungle.me is a personal scheduling page, which lets businesspeople publish availability, accept appointment requests, and plan meetings—making scheduling meetings easy. Using Tungle.me, podcasters can eliminate the headache and back and forth email exchange it takes to schedule guest interviews and find a time to record.

We asked Jonathan Levitt, VP of Marketing about their involvement in this year’s event:

Why did you sponsor PodCamp?
Tungle.me is a free personal scheduling application that makes it easier to schedule meetings. We’ve heard from podcasters that one of their challenges is scheduling guests on the show and finding times to record with their co-host(s). Tungle.me is perfect for busy podcasters that want to eliminate the time-consuming back-and-forth email and phone calls it takes to find a time …

Counting Down to the Big Event!

Posted by: Connie Crosby   on February 11, 2010 at 4:17 pm

Your PodCamp Toronto organizers have put things into high gear, working on the final details with regard to scheduling, facilities, signage, and sorting out which volunteers will be doing what. Everyone has been working hard to get it all into place for you. We have made a few changes that we hope you like — and we can’t wait to tell you about them!

We are getting a number of questions about the schedule. A quick update: we are meeting with the good folks at Ryerson’s Rogers Communication Centre tomorrow afternoon to see the final tally of rooms we will have, and we should be ready to go with a schedule shortly after that. We will post to the blog here once the schedule is ready so that presenters can post your sessions to the schedule. And as in the past, the schedule will be open to change even throughout the weekend …

Mobile apps for PodCamp Toronto

Posted by: Daniele   on February 10, 2010 at 8:00 pm

Smart phones and tech events like PodCamp Toronto go hand in hand (pun unintended). Mobile apps make it easy for smart phones to help everyone share and stay updated on everything from impromptu sessions to lunchtime meet ups. Note taking, mapping, sharing photos, videos and audio during the event is a cinch. And they are also a great ice breaker when meeting new people!

Below is my list of iPhone apps (since I use an iPhone) which come in handy for me at tech events. I invite you to add your mobile app recommendations in the comments below— both iPhone and non-iPhones are welcome!

Around Me
