Connie Crosby

Connie is a consultant with a law librarian background working in social media, information management and knowledge management. She is a blogger, podcaster, writer, speaker and instructor. She teaches courses on social networking tools at the Professional Learning Centre, Faculty of Information, University of Toronto. She is author of the book Effective Blogging for Libraries, part of the new Tech Set series from Neal-Schuman Publishing scheduled for release at the end of March 2010. This is her third year as part of the PodCamp Toronto organizing team, and she is looking forward to a fantastic weekend, and meeting friends old and new.

John Meadows has been podcasting since 2006, and currently has two shows: On the Log (onthelog.com) and The B-Side (bee-ess.org). John has 16 years of I.T. experience and in his day job is currently a Senior I.T./Business Analyst.

Mircea Baldean
Webthinking for over thirteen years, Mircea has senior experience in virtually every web related aspect, balancing the three spheres of web strategy - business, technology and community.
A flexible, curious and hard working person, Mircea is the Senior Manager, Web Strategies at RBC Global Asset Management.
He is a newbie on the PodCamp Toronto organizing committee, surprise… on the web team! #pcto2010 is his voluntary attempt to get wet, or dirty, in the social media space as a speaker.
Nonetheless, PodCamp is a fun crowd and it should be a fantastic weekend!

Rob became involved in podcasting when his wife started listening to podcasts and then said “Can we do that?”. After learning the basics and setting her up to record and publish her podcasts, he has become progressively more involved in social media and the podcasting community. In addition to being on the PodCamp Toronto organizing committee, he has attended and presented at PodCamp Montréal.

Mark van Tol specializes in marketing communications he is currently a consultant at Canada’s largest public relations firm, NATIONAL Public Relations.

Eden Spodek

Eden is an active participant in the Canadian digital community and has belonged to the PodCamp Toronto organizing team since 2007. She’s passionate about the PodCamp community.
Eden is the woman behind Bargainista, the ever-so-pink-but-not-for-women-only shopping and lifestyle blog. Launched in 2006, she has built Bargainista into a successful online community. Eden has been exposed to both sides of blogger relations, participating in programs for several top-tier brands. She was a regular contributor to One Degree, formerly one of Canada’s leading online publications about digital marketing and social media. Eden is also a podcaster, mentor and guest speaker. By day, she’s a digital communications strategist at High Road Communications – a sponsor at this year’s PodCamp Toronto.

Mike Dodd

Mike”The Birdman” Dodd is the executive producer for This Week in Geek and currently hosts a variety of podcasts notably This Week in Geek and the Prototype for the Game Heroes for the last 3 years. Mike is a radio personality and video game journalist across a variety of different radio network across Canada and the US. Aiming to bring the geek culture to the masses this is the mission that Dodd has dedicated himself and his team to making a reality.Mike podcasts and broadcasts with the motto “Live free or die hard!”

Tommy Vallier

Tommy has been speaking volunteering at PodCamps since 2006 and started helping with PodCamp Toronto in 2008.
As a consultant and speaker, Tommy connects technology to what matters most: people. He continuously helps groups, individuals and businesses understand how new media can help them build and maintain a cohesive, dynamic and active community of customers, colleagues, peers and other stakeholders.
As a web developer, Tommy’s WordPress By The Minute project has been challenging the industry by billing it’s customers by the minute instead of using the standard hourly rate model.
When not at his desk, he’s usually on his bike, folding origami, gaming or spending time exploring his city. He is happily married and currently lives in Kingston, Ontario.
