Anyone can register a session and present at PodCamp Toronto; unlike regular conferences where the organizers select the speakers and topics, here everyone is a rock star. In little over a day since we flipped the switch on sessions registration we’ve gotten nineteen rock stars signed up to present on the big day. So I figured I’d throw together a quick list of seven questions you might have about what to do once you’ve submitted your session. Check them out below and if you have any other questions about sessions or signing up leave them in the comments below.
By the way big thanks to Bill Deys at CastRoller for helping us get it ready behind the scenes.
How do I get a fancy avatar?

So… I signed in to take a look at the guest registrations this morning and we’re already over 350. Three hundred and fifty. That’s about half what we estimated arrived for PodCamp last year. Three hundred and fifty people. That freaking rocks. And all of this was following a “soft launch” - we never tweeted the site was live and registrations were open - you did. And then you spread it. As one of the people monitoring registrations, I thought I’d take a minute to explain why we went with Guestlist.
Back in the fall when the organizing team started planing this year’s event, one of the earliest decisions we made was to cut the PB wiki - at least from the registration perspective. While PB Wiki (Now PBWorks) has been wonderful to us since the first event in 2006, registrations done via wiki got way too complex last …

On today’s episode, two great conversations.
First, I speak with fellow organizing committee member Mike Dodd about the preparations for PodCamp Toronto 2010, and the great vibe people can expect.
Next, I speak with fellow PodCamp Toronto organizing committee members, Connie Crosby and Eden Spodek. Together, they produce the Community Divas podcast.
We talk about the foundational aspect of PodCamp Toronto: all attendees are invited to present. You won’t need to write a proposal. In fact, the soon-to-be-launched speaking schedule will be blank! All you will need to do is find an available time slot and fill in the details about your session.
In the meantime, what would you like to present?
